Important game to mention about took place in Helsinki. Sixth ranked Pantterit (8-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Ura Basket (9-5) 76-73 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ura Basket won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pantterit made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Pantterit outrebounded Ura Basket 48-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. Forward Eshaq Safi (205-1996) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Swingman Nolan Orpana (195) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Pantterit players scored in double figures. Guard Lauri Hanninen (191-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Matias Suomi (188-1995) added 16 points in the effort for Ura Basket. Pantterit maintains sixth position with 8-5 record. Ura Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with HyPo. Pantterit will play against Pyrinto Ak.B (#10) in Tampere in the next round. Ura Basket will play at home against Raholan P. (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
