Tenth-ranked Tormes (6-11) gave a tough game to second ranked Clavijo (13-4) in Logrono. Clavijo managed to secure only three-point victory 66-63. However their fans expected much easier game. Clavijo outrebounded Tormes 38-22 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Andre Norris (203-1994, college: Dubuque) nailed 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Nigerian-American guard Rob Ukawuba (191-1994, college: NJIT) accounted for 7 points and 8 rebounds. Senegalese center Wally Niang (206-1996) came up with 15 points and guard Marc Garcia (185-2001) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for Tormes in the defeat. Tormes' coach Oscar Nunez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Clavijo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Menorca, which they share with Prat. Newly promoted Tormes keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Clavijo will play against Melilla (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tormes will play against Talavera and hopes to get back on the winning track.
