Regular Season Round 10: Landes - Lyon 58-76

The game in Mont de Marsan was quite interesting. Fourth ranked Lyon (8-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Landes (3-7). Lyon did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-58 on Sunday. Lyon had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Alexia Chartereau (189-1998) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Belgian point guard Julie Allemand (173-1996, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Lyon players scored in double figures. Spanish center Laura Gil (190-1992) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Swedish power forward Regan Magarity (190-1996, college: Virginia Tech) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Landes. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lyon keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Landes lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Hainaut and Angers. Lyon is looking forward to face Bretagne (#11) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Landes will play on the road against Hainaut in Saint-Amand and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
