Regular Season Round 13: H.Rishon LZ - M.Ashdod 80-91

An interesting game for M.Ashdod (13-0) which played road game in Rishon Le-Zion against 4th placed H.Rishon LZ (7-5). Leader M.Ashdod managed to get a 11-point victory 91-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of H.Rishon LZ. M.Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to H.Rishon LZ's 32. It was a great shooting night for M.Ashdod especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American point guard Natisha Hiedeman (173-1997, college: Marquette) stepped up and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (180-1996, college: Maryland) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. Four M.Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) responded with 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her fourteen free throws !!!) and international swingman Eden Zipel (183-2002) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. M.Ashdod have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. H.Rishon LZ at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon. M.Ashdod will play against E.Holon (#7) in Holon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. H.Rishon LZ will play on the road against E.Ramla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
