Regular Season Round 1: Overtime - Telavi 82-77

Overtime used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Telavi 82-77 on Monday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Telavi won fourth quarter 28-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Telavi 56-31 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Nikoloz Kenkadze (185-2005) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and guard Jaba Jabakhidze (194-2005) accounted for 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Kakhaber Iagorashvili (193-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and point guard Nika Sukhitashvili (183-2006) added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Telavi in the defeat. Four Telavi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
