No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Ramat Hasharon (7-5) beat 8th ranked Hertzliya (3-9) in Hertzeliya 71-58 on Monday. Ramat Hasharon forced 19 Hertzliya turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) accounted for 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. American center Briana Day (193-1995, college: Syracuse) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized American guard Sydney Zambrotta (175-1997, college: GWU) added 16 points respectively for Hertzliya in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ramat Hasharon. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with H.Rishon LZ. Hertzliya lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Ramat Hasharon will meet at home M.Haifa (#6) in the next round. Hertzliya will play against the league's second-placed M.Ramat Gan in Ramat Hen and hope to secure a win.
