Regular Season Round 21: Chartres - Rennes 103-65

The biggest surprise took place in Chartres where host C'Chartres (15-6) crushed league's leader Union Rennes (15-6) 103-65 on Tuesday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. C'Chartres outrebounded Union Rennes 47-27 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Union Rennes' players. The best player for the winners was forward Jeremy Ricard-Dorigo (200-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Yann Siegwarth (185-1993) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five C'Chartres players scored in double figures. C'Chartres' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Guinean forward Cheick Sekou-Conde (203-1992) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and center Francois Matip (202-2000) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. C'Chartres have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Rennes and Loon-Plage. Union Rennes will play next round against Rueil trying to make it back to the top of the standings. C'Chartres will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Loon-Plage on the road.
