Regular Season Round 3: Orbi - ATSU 95-60

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Orbi's (1-1) home victory over ATSU (0-3) in Tkibuli 95-60 on Thursday. They outrebounded ATSU 54-36 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Orbi looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by ATSU's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Orbi made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Demarcus Addie (188, college: S.Wesleyan) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Quentin Davis (200-1993, college: Lancaster Bible) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Orbi players scored in double figures. Coach Irakli Tomaradze's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Luka Kanteladze (197-2001) came up with 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Giorgi Vakhtangadze (183-2001) added 12 points respectively for ATSU in the defeat. Orbi will meet Dinamo (#6) in the next round. ATSU will play against Iverioni in Gori and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
