Regular Season Round 15: Korinokia - PeU-Basket 57-83

Very expected game when 13th ranked Korinokia (5-10) was smashed by second ranked PeU-Basket (11-3) in Nokia 83-57 on Thursday. The game without a history. PeU-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Korinokia's players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Patrik Poutiainen (198-2001) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tommi Huolila (198) accounted for 8 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Four PeU-Basket players scored in double figures. Center Kalle Kuhalampi (199-2006) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Eeki Ylivakeri (187) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Korinokia in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PeU-Basket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-3 record behind leader JyWe. Korinokia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with MuKi. PeU-Basket will meet Westside ET (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Korinokia will play against Pyrinto Ak.B in Tampere and hope to secure a win.
