Regular Season Round 26: Umea - Uppsala 93-99

An interesting game took place in Umea where higher ranked Umea (14-8) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Uppsala (9-13) 99-93 on Friday. Uppsala made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jalyn Hinton (198-1998, college: SE Louisiana, agency: GoEmpire Group) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) chipped in 23 points and 6 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Four Uppsala players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Gustav Hansson (185-1995) produced 30 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and Jamaican-American forward Willesley Butler (203-1996, college: UAB) added 23 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Uppsala moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sodertalje and Koping Stars. Umea lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Uppsala will meet at home Kalmar (#10) in the next round. Umea will have a break next round.
