The game between second ranked Metropolitans (15-5) and ninth ranked Chorale de Roanne (10-9) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Metropolitans was defeated by Chorale de Roanne in Levallois 102-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Metropolitans. Chorale de Roanne forced 19 Metropolitans turnovers. Strangely Metropolitans outrebounded Chorale de Roanne 43-29 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American swingman Ronald March (196-1993, college: Philander Smith) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. Angolan forward Silvio de Sousa (206-1998, college: Chattanooga) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach Jean-Denys Choulet used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Victor Wembanyama (220-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international forward Bandja Sy (204-1990, college: NM State, agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Chorale de Roanne have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Metropolitans at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Chorale de Roanne is looking forward to face Sluc Nancy (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Metropolitans will play against ADA Blois (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
