The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked ASA's (7-10) road victory over 14th ranked ALM Evreux (5-11) 89-69 on Friday. American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-1988, college: Wofford) stepped up and scored 12 points and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Nathan De Sousa (191-2003, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 11 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Four ASA players scored in double figures. ASA's coach Julien Espinosa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. DR Congolese swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-1997) responded with 15 points and Croatian guard Paolo Marinelli (191-1995) scored 10 points and 5 assists. ASA moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Quimper. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. ASA will meet at home bottom-ranked Aix-Maurienne (#18) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. ALM Evreux will play against Saint-Quentin and will have a slim chance for a victory.
