Regular Season Round 19: Fos-Provence - Blois 80-82

There was no surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where 11th ranked Fos-Provence (8-11) was edged by sixth ranked Blois (13-5) 82-80 on Friday. Blois forced 22 Fos-Provence turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Halvine Dzellat-Diakeno (200-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Ivorian forward Dominique Diomande (197-2005) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. Blois' coach David Morabito used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Tidjiane Mammone (203-2004) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Willian Marie-Anais (201-2004) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Blois and five Fos-Provence players scored in double figures. Blois moved-up to fifth place. Loser Fos-Provence dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Strasbourg. Blois will meet at home Levallois (#6) in the next round. Fos-Provence will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
