Regular Season Round 15: Amyntas - Psychikou 74-84

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Psychikou (9-6) beat 15th ranked Amyntas (4-11) in Athens 84-74 on Saturday. Psychikou made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Ronaldo Segu (183-1999, college: Buffalo) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Point guard Georgios Koukas (179-1985) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Swingman Joe Gatzo (199-1998) came up with 15 points and 5 assists and guard Andriano Topalis (190-1994) added 7 points and 6 assists respectively for Amyntas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Psychikou moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Papagou and Koroivos. Amyntas at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Psychikou will meet Koroivos (#8) on the road in the next round. Amyntas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Athens AO Triton.
