Regular Season Round 15: Huima - Kouvot Ak. 94-69

Not a big story in a game in Aanekoski where 9th ranked Kouvot Ak. (4-10) was rolled over by sixth ranked Huima (9-5) 94-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Huima led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kouvot Ak.'s 44. Huima looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Zach Naylor (203, college: Tarleton St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import guard Deontaye Buskey (185, college: Charleston So.) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Four Huima players scored in double figures. Huima's coach Tommi Koskinen felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Teemu Kristeri (195-2002) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and center Eemeli Salmi (200-2004) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Huima moved-up to third place. Kouvot Ak. lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Huima will meet Kristika Turku (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kouvot Ak. will play against Raiders Basket and hope to secure a win.
