Another exciting game was between fifth ranked Avila and 7th ranked Gijon Basket where Avila (9-6) beat Gijon Basket (8-7) on the road 68-59. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian forward Alejo Maggi (203-2002) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Andorra point guard Sergio Serrato (185-2002) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Avila players scored in double figures. American-Senegalese forward Cheikh Kebe (206-1997, college: FMU) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Sergio Martinez (208-1992) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gijon Basket. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Avila have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams.
