The most important game of round 1 took place in Tubbergen where Jolly J. edged Binnenland 58-56 on Saturday night. They outrebounded Binnenland 47-31 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Iris Zwart (177-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Jasmijn de Ceuninck chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side the former international swingman Jamailah Adams (180-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Gabrielle Van Den Bosch (173-1993) scored 14 points. Binnenland will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Jolly J. will try to continue on its current victory against Grasshoppers in Katwijk.
