The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked WKS Slask (15-3) in Wroclaw on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Anwil (9-9) 91-82. Anwil looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Phil Greene IV (187-1992, college: St.John's) scored 30 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-1989) chipped in 4 points and 15 assists during the contest. Anwil's coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jeremiah Martin (189-1996, college: Memphis) with 23 points and 7 assists and international point guard Lukasz Kolenda (195-1999, agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points. Four WKS Slask players scored in double figures. Anwil maintains eighth position with 9-9 record. Defending champion WKS Slask still keeps top place with three games lost. Anwil are looking forward to face higher ranked Legia (#6) in Warszawa in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. WKS Slask will play at home against Wilki Morskie (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
