There was an upset when higher ranked La Matanza (7-7) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Guimar (6-8) 76-65 on Saturday. Guimar outrebounded La Matanza 38-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Uruguayan Mauro Miranda (-1997) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and Jonathan Jorge (183-2001) who added 19 points (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Alvaro Gomez (195-2000) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Argentinian point guard Gaston Zalazar (190-1996) scored 14 points.
