Regular Season Round 17: Xirdalan - Neftci 104-102

Sixth-ranked Neftci (6-9) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Xirdalan (10-5) in Baku. Xirdalan managed to secure only two-point victory 104-102. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Neftci. Strangely Neftci outrebounded Xirdalan 50-38 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Devin Pullum (188, college: Rogers St.) nailed 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Andrew Corum (201-1996, college: Virginia St.) accounted for 23 points and 15 rebounds. Georgian Davit Lomidze (196-1997) came up with 24 points and Ukrainian guard Yuri Kondrakov (191-1996, agency: BIG) added 23 points respectively for Neftci in the defeat. Four Neftci players scored in double figures. Neftci's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Xirdalan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sabah and Serhedci. Neftci at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost.
