Regular Season Round 14: Split - Pula 75-61

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Pula (5-9) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Split (3-10) 75-61 on Saturday. Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Josipa Silov (177-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Guard Tea Turic (178-1998) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Marijana Percan (186-1993) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Ivana Ujevic (176-2000) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Split have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 3-10 record. Loser Pula dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sibenik and Pozega. Split will meet at home FSV Rijeka (#11) in the next round. Pula will play against Zagreb (#3) and hope to secure a win.
