Regular Season Round 14: Ragusa - Pozega 88-51

Premijer Liga top team - Ragusa (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Pozega (5-9) in Dubrovnik 88-51. Ragusa forced 25 Pozega turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Pozega's players. The former international guard Carmen Miloglav (170-1991, college: FIU) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Cvetana Matic felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Emilija Podrug (190-1979) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Serbian point guard Martina Kujundzic (-2001) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Ragusa have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. Pozega at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Sibenik and Pula. Ragusa are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tresnjevka in Zagreb in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pozega will play at home against KAZL Split (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
