Regular Season Round 15: Ura Basket - Raholan P. 108-76

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ura Basket (10-5) outplayed 7th ranked Raholan P. (8-7) in Kaarina 108-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ura Basket. Raholan P. managed to win third quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ura Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Raholan P.'s 38. They outrebounded Raholan P. 42-29 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ura Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Raholan P.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Matias Suomi (188-1995) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Teemu Ritanotko (202-1994) accounted for 12 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winning side. Five Ura Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Tuomo Aalto (190) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Severi Iltanen (201-2000) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Raholan P. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ura Basket moved-up to third place. Loser Raholan P. keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Kataja Ta.. Ura Basket will meet at home LrNMKY (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Raholan P. will play against the league's leader JyWe (#1) in Jyvaskyla and hope to secure a win.
