Very predictable result when fourth ranked Sassari (13-4) won against on the road 10th ranked Moncalieri (6-12) 79-65 on Sunday. Strangely Moncalieri outrebounded Sassari 44-30 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Joyner Holmes (191-1998, college: Texas) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Debora Carangelo (169-1992) supported her with 21 points and 4 assists. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Kathryn Westbeld (190-1996, college: Notre Dame) did not help to save the game for Moncalieri. Her fellow American import guard Chelsea Mitchell (175-1997, college: Morgan St.) added 20 points and 9 rebounds. Sassari have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 13-4 record. Moncalieri lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Faenza.
