Regular Season Round 19: RO SAzzurra - Juvi Cremona 87-82

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked RO SAzzurra (5-12) won against 10th ranked Juvi Cremona (5-12) in Roma 87-82 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Samuel Givens (197-1989, college: Drexel) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian Lazar Nikolic (201-1999, college: Colorado, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. RO SAzzurra's coach Luca Bechi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international swingman Davide Reati (193-1988) came up with 22 points and Austrian-American forward Bryce Douvier (201-1991, college: TAMUCC) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) respectively for Juvi Cremona in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for RO SAzzurra. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Juvi Cremona. RO SAzzurra will meet higher ranked Trapani (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Juvi Cremona's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Cremona Vanoli Cremona.
