The most important game in the last round took place in Zaragoza between second ranked Valencia (15-4) and fourth ranked Zaragoza (14-5) on Sunday night. Valencia was crushed by Zaragoza on the road 77-55. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Valencia. They outrebounded Valencia 48-33 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. German Leonie Fiebich (193-2000) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Montenegrin center Markeisha Gatling (196-1992, college: NC State) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-1992) with 9 points and 9 rebounds and international center Raquel Carrera (188-2001) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zaragoza have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Avenida. Valencia at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Zaragoza is looking forward to face league's leader Girona on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Valencia will play against Jairis in Alcantarilla and is hoping to win this game.
