Rather expected game when 5th ranked Estonian TalTech (8-7) was smashed by second ranked Latvian RSU (11-1) in Tallinn 74-50 on Sunday. RSU forced 22 TalTech turnovers and outrebounded them 45-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when RSU made 7 blocks. Guard Enija Viksne (178-2004) nailed 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and swingman Anita Mikelsone (178-2001) accounted for 9 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Marta-Eleri Jaama (185-2005) came up with 14 points and point guard Sofia Kosareva (170-1998) added 8 points and 4 steals respectively for TalTech in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for RSU. They keep a position of league leader. TalTech lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost.
