Regular Season Round 16: Murgi - Unicaja-Andalucia 79-80

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Murgi (4-9) was edged at home by seventh ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (6-7) 80-79 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Mario Saint-Supery (193-2006) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ruben Vicente (199-2005) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Angel Rubino (-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Cristian Ramon (197-1992) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Four Murgi players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Unicaja-Andalucia maintains seventh position with 6-7 record, which they share with Majadahonda. Newly promoted Murgi keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Marbella. Unicaja-Andalucia will meet at home higher ranked La Zubia (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Murgi will play against CAM E.Soler 2 (#12) in Melilla and hope to secure a win.
