Everything went according to plan when second ranked Andorra (17-2) defeated 10th ranked Cantabria (9-10) in Torrelavega 80-62 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Nacho Llovet (202-1991) who led the winners and scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Micah Speight (178-1998, college: S.Nazarene) accounted for 9 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Guard Agustin Sans (193-1995) came up with 9 points and 6 assists and Dominican Dagoberto Pena (198-1988, college: Marshall) added 12 points respectively for Cantabria in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Andorra have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Palencia. Newly promoted Cantabria keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Andorra will meet at home Albacete (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cantabria will play against Gipuzkoa (#9) in San Sebastian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
