Regular Season Round 17: Asker Aliens - Oppsal 74-61

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Oppsal (6-16) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Asker Aliens (4-19) 74-61 on Wednesday. American guard Abdullah Yusuf (188, college: Fredonia St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Oliver Bergstad (-2004) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. Guard Thomas Ble (185-1989) responded with 17 points and 5 steals and American center Jacob Tryon (211-1998, college: Samford) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Asker Aliens maintains tenth place with 4-19 record. Oppsal lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. Asker Aliens will meet at home higher ranked Ammerud Bskt (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oppsal will play against the league's second-placed Gimle and will have a slim chance for a victory.
