Very expected game when 8th ranked Stjarnan (6-9) lost on the road to second ranked Njardvik (12-3) 93-86 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 26-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Njardvik made 28-of-30 free shots (93.3 percent) during the game. Njardvik have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Keflavik and Valur. Loser Stjarnan keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Njardvik will meet Grindavik (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Stjarnan will play against Tindastoll and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
