Regular Season Round 20: Norrort - Helsingborg 65-82

An interesting game for Helsingborg (13-5) which played road game in Taby against one of their biggest challengers Norrort (11-6). Second ranked Helsingborg had an easy win 82-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Norrort. Helsingborg players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Alexander Smakowski (188-2000) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds and Rasmus Westerlund (192-2003) who added 17 points during the contest. Helsingborg's coach Xavier Mascaro allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard David Niklasson (193-1995, college: N.Platte CC) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kasper Adolfson (193-1995) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Newly promoted Helsingborg maintains second position with 13-5 record behind leader Hogsbo. Norrort at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Norrort will play against Sloga Uppsala and hopes to get back on the winning track.
