Not a big story in a game in Zaragoza where 14th ranked Helios (1-15) was defeated by third ranked Tarragona (10-6) 64-58 on Saturday. Point guard David Fernandez (179-1991) stepped up and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Marc Buscail (-2003) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds. Alejandro Abad (-2002) responded with 14 points and Victor Vela (-2002) scored 4 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Helios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tarragona maintains third place with 10-6 record having six points less than leader Huelva CD, which they share with 4 other teams. Helios lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Tarragona will meet at home Igualada (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Helios will play against Navas and hope to win that game.
