Very important is a road loss of third ranked Norrkoping (9-5) against fourth ranked Ostersund (9-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Norrkoping was crushed by Ostersund in Ostersund 97-64. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Norrkoping's 28. They outrebounded Norrkoping 46-29 including 34 on the defensive glass. American Jessica Kelliher (183-1997, college: Lewis) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds. The other American import guard Hannah Whitish (175-1998, college: Nebraska) contributed with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Ostersund's coach Alva Stark felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Alexa Held (178-1999, college: DePaul) replied with 19 points and international guard Lovisa Hjern (175-1999) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Norrkoping. Ostersund maintains fourth position with 9-6 record. Defending champion Norrkoping keeps the third place with five games lost. Ostersund will play against bottom-ranked Visby (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Norrkoping will have a break next round.
