Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Fos-Provence (8-12) lost on the road to ninth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (11-9) 87-82 on Saturday. Strangely Fos-Provence outrebounded Pau-Lacq-Orthez 38-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Rene Louis-Therese (203-2004) who scored that evening 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Matthieu Vigneron (198-2002) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds by naturalized Guinean forward Ousmane Kaba (195-2002) did not help to save the game for Fos-Provence. Guard Jawaad Tonye-Biyik (190-2002) added 16 points and 6 assists for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser Fos-Provence dropped to the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will meet bottom-ranked Paris BA (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fos-Provence will play against Roanne (#5) and hope to secure a win.
