Very expected game when 9th ranked Porrino (7-9) was defeated on the road by third ranked Gijon (13-3) 73-55 on Saturday. Gijon outrebounded Porrino 44-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Milo Vukcevic (200-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Alan Morchon (188-1999) chipped in 14 points. Point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-1989) responded with 9 points and Mourtala Ka (203-2003) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gijon. They moved-up to second place. Porrino lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with 7 other teams.
