No shocking result in a game in Zagreb where fourth ranked Medvescak (12-3) smashed bottom-ranked Orka (2-13) 69-39 on Saturday. Medvescak forced 26 Orka turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Ivona Jakovljevic (172-2004) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Lucija Skoric (178-1999) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Rahela Mikulic (177-1992) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Nina Horvat (-2002) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Medvescak moved-up to third place, which they share with Zagreb. Orka lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Medvescak will meet at home Pula (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Orka will play against Sibenik (#9) and hope to secure a win.
