Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Trieste (6-11) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Treviso (9-8) 64-62 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Treviso forced 25 Trieste turnovers. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-1991) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Cecilia Zagni (180-1995) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Costanza Miccoli (181-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Giorgia Sammartini (175-2001) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Treviso moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Broni and San Salvatore. Newly promoted Trieste keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Treviso will meet Mantova (#9) on the road in the next round. Trieste will play against Alpo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
