Slovenian leader Celje delivered the ninth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Serbian Duga (3-7) 99-64. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Duga's 28. Celje forced 24 Duga turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of forward Jite Gbemuotor (188-2004) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Lea Bartelme (178-2005) who added 15 points during the contest. Four Celje players scored in double figures. Celje's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Olga Stepanovic (180-1994) responded with 22 points and center Tijana Jelic (191-1999, agency: BeoBasket) scored 16 points and 4 blocks. Celje have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Slovenian champion maintains first position with 9-1 record. Loser Duga keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Celje will meet at home Zagreb (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Duga will play against Vojvodina 021 in Novi Sad and hope to secure a win.
