There was a small surprise in Ponzan where tenth ranked Enea AZS II P. (5-12) defeated 7th ranked Katy Wrocl. (8-9) 79-71 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Malina Piasecka (168-2004) who scored 12 points and 6 assists. Guard Lena Brzustowska (178-2007) chipped in 14 points. Enea AZS II P.'s coach Grzegorz Zielinski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Aleksandra Lata (180-1992) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and Konstancja Karas (178-1999) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Enea AZS II P. maintains tenth position with 5-12 record. Katy Wrocl. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Enea AZS II P. will meet higher ranked Bochnia (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Katy Wrocl. will play against Aleksandrow L. (#13) and hope to secure a win.
