There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (8-8) lost to eighth ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-8) in Hod Hasharon 92-96 on Monday. Bnei Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by center Julian Gamble (208-1989, college: Miami, FL, agency: Octagon Europe) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and Maurice Kemp (203-1991, college: ECU) supported him with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds by forward Tyler Bey (201-1998, college: Colorado, agency: Agency) did not help to save the game for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Point guard DJ Cooper (183-1990, college: Ohio) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon maintains eighth position with 7-8 record. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with H.Be'er Sheva. Bnei Hasharon will meet Hapoel Eilat (#11) on the road in the next round. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Gilboa Galil (#12) and hope to secure a win.
