Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Lucenec (9-13) was defeated on the road by third ranked Iskra Svit (13-9) 83-79. Iskra Svit brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Tavon King (180-1997, college: Cumberland) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Swingman TJ Atwood (198-1997, college: Lamar) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. Forward Elyjah Goss (201-1998, college: IUPUI) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Tyrik Armstrong (178, college: Texas Southern, agency: MSG) added 19 points respectively for Lucenec in the defeat. Iskra Svit have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-9 record having five points less than leader Spisski Rytieri. Lucenec lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Iskra Svit will play against league's leader Spisski Rytieri in Nova Ves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lucenec will play on the road against Handlova (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
