Rather expected game when 16th ranked Twarde Pierniki (4-15) lost to fourteenth ranked Sokol (7-13) in Lancut 66-74 on Thursday. The winners were led by American forward Corey Sanders (188-1997, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Adam Kemp (208-1990, college: Marist) supported him with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Sokol's coach Marek Lukomski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points by American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-1993, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Twarde Pierniki. Point guard Kacper Gordon (184-2002) added 14 points for the guests. Sokol moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Arka. Twarde Pierniki lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Sokol will meet higher ranked MKS DG (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Twarde Pierniki will play against the league's leader WKS Slask (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
