Regular Season Round 24: Tarbes-Lourdes - Rueil 76-71

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Rueil (12-12) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (9-15) 76-71 on Friday. Lourdes-Tarbes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-1994) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and point guard Remi Lesca (180-1990) who added 15 points and 9 assists during the contest. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was swingman Steven Ricard (200-1990) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Elias Kherzane (180-1999) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Rueil dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Lourdes-Tarbes will meet higher ranked Toulouse (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Rueil will play against Loon-Plage and hope to secure a win.
