LEB Silver top team - Burgos (19-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fourteenth ranked Baskonia B (4-15) 83-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Baskonia B. Burgos made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Baskonia B turnovers. It was a quality performance for point guard Ayoze Alonso (187-1991) who led the winners and scored 21 points. Guard Didac Cuevas (178-2000) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Burgos players scored in double figures. Australian power forward Damian Prgomet (208-1996, college: SW Baptist) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Gaizka Maiza (191-1996) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Baskonia B in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Burgos have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-1 record. Newly promoted Baskonia B keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Burgos will meet Tormes (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Baskonia B will play against Zornotza and hope to secure a win.
