We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Mataro Parc (9-8) beat 6th ranked Alfinden (9-8) in Zaragoza 76-62 on Saturday. Power forward Javier Rodriguez (202-1992) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Antonio Ruiz (-1997) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Mataro Parc players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by Jose Antonio Malo did not help to save the game for Alfinden. American forward Martin Smith (196-1993, college: Lipscomb) added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Alfinden's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mataro Parc moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Alfinden.
