The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked WKS Slask (15-5) in Wroclaw on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Czarni (11-9) 86-74. Czarni looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Brae Ivey (188-1997, college: SJSU, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Jakub Schenk (184-1994) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists for the winners. Four Czarni players scored in double figures. Czarni's coach Mantas Cesnauskis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-1997) replied with 13 points and 4 assists and American point guard Jeremiah Martin (189-1996, college: Memphis) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for WKS Slask. Czarni moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Zastal and Legia. WKS Slask lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Stal. Czarni is looking forward to face Legia (#6) in Warszawa in the next round. WKS Slask will play at home against Twarde Pierniki (#16) and is hoping to win this game.
