Regular Season Round 15: Vukovi Zeta - Podgorica 2 56-95

The game in Golubovci supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Podgorica-2 (10-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Vukovi Zeta (8-6). Podgorica-2 smashed Vukovi Zeta 95-56 on Saturday. They outrebounded Vukovi Zeta 44-30 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Podgorica-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Boris Perucica who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Forward Marko Radunovic (198-2006) helped adding 9 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Zeljko Matanovic (-2001) with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Filip Maras (-2001) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Podgorica-2 maintains third place with 10-4 record having just one point less than leader Pljevlja, which they share with Lim. Loser Vukovi Zeta dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Balkanski Ris. Podgorica-2 will meet at home Rudar (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vukovi Zeta's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Golubovci to the arena Zeta.
