Everything went according to plan when third ranked Resovia (16-5) outplayed 15th ranked AZS PC (2-19) in Rzeszow 117-34 on Saturday. Resovia held AZS PC to an opponent 24.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Resovia forced 42 AZS PC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by AZS PC's players. Power forward Wojciech Watroba (210-1997) nailed 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side and point guard Dawid Zagula (185-1996) accounted for 11 points, 10 assists and 6 steals. Five Resovia players scored in double figures. Center Dawid Szulc (201-1999) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Mariusz Kwasek (193-1980) added 2 points and 7 rebounds respectively for AZS PC in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Resovia. Newly promoted Resovia maintains third place with 16-5 record having just one point less than leader AZS AWF Mick., which they share with Koscian and Notec Inowr. AZS PC lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Resovia will meet at home league's second-placed Przemysl in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS PC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Czestochowa Iskra Cz.
