BLNO top team - Kongsberg (21-4) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Baerum Basket (13-10) 83-70. They outrebounded Baerum Basket 40-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. American guard Xavier Green (198-1996, college: Maryland, agency: One Motive Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Aly Hudgins (201-1993, college: ECU) supported him with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Even 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-1987, college: UNH) did not help to save the game for Baerum Basket. The former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-1989) added 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Baerum Basket's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kongsberg maintains first position with 21-4 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Kongsberg will meet at home bottom-ranked Nidaros Jets (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Baerum Basket will play against Oppsal (#9) in Oslo and hope to secure a win.
